Gree(d) I feel screwed. Hey, where's my Google Play integration and achievements and cloud save, and why do I need to pay in game after purchasing the game.

Thanks..awesome 22 years on and this must be the most purchased franchise in all my gaming years. I have owned every version from a500 to a1200 to cd32 to ps3 reboots to now mobile. Never gets old, its perfect.... superfrog next please.

No no no Firstly, what's this Gree rubbish that you're trying to get me to sign up for? No thanks. Secondly, I buy your app and then you want to charge me more for in app purchases of ammo and keys? Really? Not impressed.

Nice conversion of an old classic. Glad that they added enhanced controls, graphics and permanent unlocks for weapons - though it still looks/feels dated, the improvements work pretty nicely on a mobile device. Was originally put off by the reviews which suggested that a Gree / Facebook login was required to play - fortunately this is not the case. However the Gree splash screen at the start is annoying (you have to tap outside of it to get rid of it) as is the lack of an exit game option (the back button doesn't work as it does for other apps). Oh, and I miss the " welcome to Intex Systems" from the original.

Good old school game I have no problem with this game on my nexus 4. Controls are a tiny bit fiddly but other then that the same game I loved to play when I was you younger.

Shocking I was greatly looking forward to this, however the game constantly informs me I dont have a genuine copy, even logged into their game system. One star for decent gameplay in the demo levels...

'This copy is not genuine' I saw this on sale for $0.99 and though to myself, "Why not?!". After installing the game I find that I only have access to the first four levels, clicking any of the other chapters tells me, "This is not a genuine copy of the game" and directs me to a Play store page that does not exist. I'm not sure if it's broken or the rest of the game is intended as IAP, if so nowhere was it listed on the store page. Not happy! Functionally the game is fun though.

Fixed! Last update fixed my loading issues on droid RAZR HD. Pretty cool game, lots of areas to explore. Micro transactions in a paid game is sorta meh... -1 star.

Old School classic with a ne lease of life This is a revamped version of a classic pc game, also playable in its original form. Expansion packs have been included which is a nice extra. Classic mode can be very difficult to aim but the revised controls in enhanced mode make up for it. Great for such a low price

Improved since release With the authentication issues fixed, this is now a pretty decent game. Controls are a bit twitchy, but manageable on a tablet.

Nice homage to the original Only wish: 2 player! Fighting over who gets the first aid, arguing over where to go next, and the shame of wasting a key on a door to nowhere. If only I could relive those great memories!

Almost perfect Love the game but have a couple of suggestions: Allow the back button to close the game (or go to menu when in-game). Maybe even have a quit confirmation. Also, get rid of the login service - there are too many of these floating around, I refuse to sign into yet another! Glad to see the game released though, takes me back :-)

Gree marrs the experience The game itself is fantastic, however being prompted to log in to Gree every time the game is launched is tiresome. Tapping 'play now' results in me having a blank Gree window stay on my screen (due to blocking ads?). To play the game I have to press the home button of my phone and then relaunch alien breed. It's a little irritating to put up with marketing when you've paid for an app or a game.

I bought the game dont want a Gree account Why the heck do I have to have a Gree account to play a game. Should be optional. Buy this game if want to be added to another social network as you don't have any choice when you buy the game. Pretty lame

Hangs at GREE login I'm not using GREE, not interested, but the game loads a GREE login on startup and it won't go away.

Better be a fan of mazes for this one Levels that are real mazes, new levels, updated graphics and controls l, including originals, good. Not being able to mix and match new graphics with old controls, no difficult settings, only p3 enemy types, bosses that do not differ in any way beyond appearance, no weaknesses, attack patterns, varying attacks, bad. I welcome the huge assortment of weapons but they all cost the same with some clearly preferable to others and most serving no purpose.

Samsung Galaxy S3 I PAID for this old favorite and it will not run. I get a Welcome "My name" screen and it stays black. I hear game music playing in the background but screen stays black. Uninstalled and reinstalled...reset phone, nothing helps. I emailed the developers about 2 weeks ago...no response or anything. You fail

Freeze Plays music on start with grey screen continuously. Restarted and got"welcome player g932.....ect. and freeze again on grey screen.tmobile s3

Why do I need 'Gree'... And how can I skip it? Loading shows me the popup but 'play now' does anything but that, it just gives me a white screen.

A has been I have been around long enough to remember all the old school games and this was good back on my old amiga but now it just doesnt have the same feel repetitive dated gameplay and very irritating voice commands with no option to turn them off when they constantly repeat save yourself the money and buy something like AVP spent far more hours playing that had about 15 mintues on this and that was enough for me

Gree?? WTF? Really looking forward to playing this game as it was a childhood fave. However, after installing. some stupid gree screen came up. I thought whats this its all Japanese. But as i really wanted to play the game i just pushed things then it tells me they're not signing anyone else up in my area? Signing up for what? Why is it so hard just to get to the game. Anyway I swiftly refunded and now i need to find something else to do... like go outside :(........ never mind. Figured it out. AWSOME GAME!!

Very good Over 20 years old and still owning most of the other games on here. Controls are good and the enhancements are good. Maybe I'm missing something but I can't go on the computer in game. Would be good to see ProjectX come back too!

Great game ruined by Gree One of the best games on my old Amiga 500, and was a good game on my Android until I picked it up again recently to discover I can't play without joining Gree. I don't want to join Gree, I just want to shoot Aliens - is this too much to ask? Remove Gree, or at least the necessity to sign into it, and this game will get the 5 star rating it deserves. Update: you can bipass Gree by selecting the black area around the Gree box - be nicer to have a cross, but at least I can play the game now...

Amiga classic brought to life! Great game! The enhanced graphics and dual stick mode really brings this old Amiga classic back to life again! It looks great, and it is a joy to play! unfortunately (compared to the Amiga version) it's a tad too easy. On the Amiga you had to save ammo, keys and money. You hade to do tactical choices in choice of wepons and 'extras' in order to complete the game on a single run. In this version every weapon cost 25 000$ (even the best ones), and you never loose them (!). I bought a plasma gun after a couple of stages and it made me feel invinsible. after 10 stages I had 30 keys 9 lives and 86 clips of ammo. That's the only downside of this game, I remembered Alien Breed to be a real challenge as a kid. But I shouldn't whine to much about it. You've done a great Job Team 17! I play it on a JXD 7300s with physical controls and it is one of the most enjoyable gaming experience I have had on this device! :)

Great port of a Classic I remember playing this game a long time ago and it is nice to be able to play it again. The controls are very good and responsive. The graphics are nice, and it is very neat to play with the classic graphics and sounds. As for Gree, if you click off to the left side of the screen it makes it dissapear, it really isn't as bad as people are complaining about. My only complaint is that you can't use the back key to exit the game. But overall great port and a great game in general.

Do not buy this crap As soon as you run the games goes to some crap called GREE that you CANNOT got past. Wasted my money on this sh*t.

Great fun but too easy. A really fun top down shooter I enjoyed it thoroughly. I only wish it was a bit more challenging and had a greater variety of enemy types, objectives and areas. Team 17 probably has some of the best touch screen controls here and I hope they put it to good use with some new content or other games based on this engine. They claim this is the first survival horror game but there are no survival mechanics at all and it's not particularly scary. Don't get me wrong though despite it's flaws this is great game.

How to bypass the Gree login Tap Play Now then press part of the black background, and you can skip the stupid Gree login.

I love this game on my Amiga... Shame this is nothing like that. Controls are that crazy dual stick nonsense in Enhanced mode, and while enhanced GFX are very good, and feel morw Tower Assault AGA, the sound effects destroy the atmosphere. In Classic mode, the functionality of button 2 on the controller (or space? Not sure, I always played with a Master System pad or 2 button Bug, and UAE emulates 2 button controller just fine) is simply absent, and eve fire-lock is disabled. This may be fine for the new breed of gamers who have only known these control methods, but I can't get into newer games because of that, and paid for this because it *should* work with the traditional 8 way digital +A and B / 1 & 2.... It does not, and becomes as unplayable as all the modern games. Back to UAE for me, and a complete waste of money on this... For something so simple?! Very disappointed.

Decent but far too easy Native controller support, worked out of the box with my GPD Q9 , no need for the button mapper (like most games, the button mapper is good but rarely needed) Graphics are decent, sound is decent, but gameplay while functional is far far far too easy to be fun, especially with the super cheap health and ammo packs for sale... I like metal warriors for the SNES, another platformed I also started today, a million times more... That game is tough , beautiful, and. Awesome! ;-)

It's good Reminds me of playing it on my amiga. However, the GREE login thing keeps stalling. I have registered but it won't log in, nor does anything happen when I hit "play now". I have to close the game down then open it using the recent apps, that way it bypasses it. Until next time I play anyway.

An awesome classic A classic game brought perfectly to Android. Great job. The only thing I would add is the option for the new control scheme with the classic graphics. Still have my original Amiga version in the loft!

Buggy Lame, obtrusive Gree(d) that won't let you 'play now' unless you click on black. Weird menus and design choices. No respect for android design guidelines (menu software key is always on, keys doesn't dim, back doesn't work! That's the foundation of Android for Pete's sake). Four stars out of sympathy for this oldie.

Player 1 requires first aid..... My dream come true....I adore Alien Breed, and to this day still say that the AGA version of Alien Breed 2 is the best game ever! So Team 17........can we expect Project X, Superfrog et al to make an appearance on Android? :D

GREE can be bypassed Update; turns out GREE can be bypassed by just click outside the box, duh. Still lose a star for IAP on a paid game, best scam since insurance.

Amazing but needs usb otg support I've been waiting ages for the android port and I'm pleased to say its been worth the wait. Would get more stars but there's no option to enable real usb or Bluetooth controllers? I also cant quit out of the app on my galaxy s3? Will get 5 stars if sorted.

OldSkoolRaver Brilliant game! Just like the original Amiga version (mind you, what has happened to the computers in game that you used to be able to use?) The only gripes I have, are some of the permissions, no exit button, and GREE, seriously, get rid of GREE! Apart from that, brilliant game. Looking forward to Superfrog HD...

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I just gotta say that this is just about the best game on the store at the moment. Thanx Team17 for bringing back one of the best games I can remember playing all those years ago on my Amiga.

Avoid Annoying requirement to sign up to a social gaming network. Even if you do, it will forget your details and start nagging you again. A waste of money. Avoid.
