Crosswords for PC and MAC

I want to burn entire hemispheres to the ground every time I try to answer a clue. Throw a fistfull of scrabble tiles into a snowbank and I promise that will get you closer to entering the correct answer. Then again maybe I just have anger issues because this is a review of a free crossword puzzle app.

How to use Crosswords for PC and MAC

You can run all Android games and applications on your PC or MAC computer. Using a free software called Bluestacks, you don't need to purchase anything but games or applications it self if it isn't free.

Download Bluestacks from this link.
Install BlueStacks from installation file with following the on-screen instructions.
Once Bluestacks is installed add your Google account in it.
Type Crosswords in Search bar and install it.

Now you can use Crosswords on your PC or MAC.

Doesn't work I downloaded this app but there were no puzzles nor could I navigate through the app. Don't waste your time on this one

Tiny clue text only weakness Definitely the best crossword app around, my only criticism is the text size for the clues. Fine on my phone, but when I installed it on my Aunt's tablet, the clues are a might small for her eyes.

Used to love this app Cannot download puzzles on galaxy s5 because it no longer has a soft key menu button. And the app itself does not have a built in menu option. Honestly that is the only problem. .. if you can fix it I give it 5 stars.

Used to be a great puzzle app, but now only get 1 New puzzle/week. Very disappointing.

Needs and update. Requires users to access the menu to download crosswords. The S5 had no menu button so this app will not work unless you use a PC to transfer crosswords over to your phone.

I like that it downloads .puz files... ...but it's useless to me without a timer. Sorry.

Cannot download puzzles Requests that you download puzzles. So what is this app exactly? I thought I was downloading crossword puzzles when I selected it....

Hands down my fav. free crossword app. Even though most newspapers don't download to this anymore, it is still the easiest to use. Flow of the crossword is efficient and I can't get used to this on any other crossword app. I do a crossword every night. However, I've noticed that this app doesn't work at all on newer devices (i.e. SG Note 4 and SG Tab 3).

Nice puzzles but Keyboard is too small and pinch to zoom would be more convenient.

No current nyt subscriptions and poor default keyboard. Going with shortyz to fix both problems. You can import nyt .puzzle files manually though.

Nice app considering it is free. Would be better if when working on down clues, the cursor would move to the next down number, not just down the page.

This could be a great app if some problems were fixed. Zooming is buggy and sometimes it deletes all my answers randomly. Completely unacceptable.

I like this app, but 2 times, 2/3 of the way thru a puzzle all my entries clear themselves and I have to start over, its irritating...

crossword cleared all my answers... twice Crossword cleared when I was half done with it, then after re-doing and almost don it cleared again...

Wish it had more sources by default. Very US centric clues on most. More importantly, it wiped my answers when it switched screen orientation.

Good app, lets you download lots of puzzles each day. Has a nasty bug where all your work is occassionaly erased.

Great except one thing... Nice in all regards except how I keep almost entirely solving puzzles just to come back later to find all my progress erased.

Used to be decent. But, lately has been deleting all answers mid-puzzle. Uninstalling.

This app is absolutely outrageous, especially for users outside of the usa. Vaguest clues of the week.

The answers in my puzzles would randomly be erased before my eyes without my pressing anything. No thanks.
