Kickstarter for PC and MAC

It's good though the interface isn't the easiest. Not everything is clearly marked though once you get used to it it's fine. Would be nice to see current funding and time left in your backed list as well. Only real complaint is there's no way to send and receive messages through the app. You have to access it via the browser to see these.

How to use Kickstarter for PC and MAC

You can run all Android games and applications on your PC or MAC computer. Using a free software called Bluestacks, you don't need to purchase anything but games or applications it self if it isn't free.

Download Bluestacks from this link.
Install BlueStacks from installation file with following the on-screen instructions.
Once Bluestacks is installed add your Google account in it.
Type Kickstarter in Search bar and install it.

Now you can use Kickstarter on your PC or MAC.

It's nice to finally have an app so I can check things without having to use the web. Now, if only it had the ability to sort things like the website does, it would make my life easier. However, checking on projects works wonderfully. I like the interface. However, messaging needs to be improved do you can get messages from creators.

It would be great if they added the messaging to the app (or if it's there make it easy to find). As it is, I have to go to the full site to access messages which is cumbersome and irritating.

A decent not have to go to website app. My one issue is that when trying to back a project inputting your credit card info it seems that the numbers you inpit seem to be input again by the app making it slightly tedious. Fix that and 5 star

Many user interface face issues little things that a good UI should have. Scrolling through then changing the orientation of your phone puts the view back to the top of the page. Clicking into a link then going back takes you to the top of the page, it needs to save your place instead of Scrolling through everything agaon. Think I'll stick to the website view for now honestly it's such important function of any Website/app when browsing.

Overall it's great. The only thing I think it's really missing from the west itself it the percent funded amount while the campaigns are still live when you search for a specific campaign.

I will be using this app more now that I can view update comments. Now if only I could like updates and links in emails gave me the option to use the app instead of the website.

This app is nice for browsing and following new projects and sharing them, but it is cumbersome when trying to get updates. The absence of sending/receiving messages from creators of the projects i have backed is a BIG negative. i need to use a regular full desktop computer or go through a mobile browser to get full site function. Would give 5 stars if these issues were fixed.

This is not only a great functioning app but the idea behind it is incredible. It does a great job of connecting potential investors to small time projects allowing them to get enough money to begin production.

I had the pilot installed for a long time and when it disappeared I couldn't get it again. Now that this app is back its better than ever

Great working app and awesome for entrepreneurs and the community. Occasionally when you are watching a clip and go back to an overview of projects, you get sent back to a category you weren't looking at anymore.

There is no way to communicate with kickstarter and they don't hold responsibility if any project fail. Basically you buy at high risk. Will uninstall it after this.

They let companies steal your money with zero accountability or liability. You could pledge a thousand dollars on something and them never have to get you the product. This is a great way to scam for a couple hundred k.

Great UI with ease of access to everything you need to know about the project. Receive updates instantly! Great when your bored and want to browse.

I never get any notifications from this app even though they're set up, Literally the only reason it doesn't get a 5

As mentioned by others it sorely needs a message function so that I don't need to run both the app and a website together.

4 stars because unable to access my inbox and view my messages. Have to go on a laptop or through my browser in order to reply

I went onto this site to look at a certain project and then I fell in love with it and started backing a lot more projects

Works great, looks nice, never crashes or freezes. Would be nice to have the option to check messages, hopefully in a later update. Still, a great, easy way to find and keep track of projects.

Wish there was a quick access to backed projects, next to the activity icon. Took a bit to find it tucked away under profile

Good app. Would love to get a comment feed(RSS?) From projects backed rather than going into each campaign to see if there was any updates.

I'm tired of unsaved projects not disappearing from my saved list. It's annoying.

No messaging you have to go into desktop version to message creators. That sucks. Support take days to respond at best.

I absolutely love this app. The idea of being crowd funded is phenomenal in itself but this puts it on its own, well working, platform

Invested in Kevlar backpack last year it has been unsuccessful. No updates since early December. Company has stopped all communication now there are alot of people agreeing that it is a scam and Kickstarter is not protecting us investors. Don't know what else to do.

Nice, but would like to see goal amount without having to click on individual product. As requires a good Internet connection.

Great app but would be helpful to have access to messages without needing to log on from a laptop. #goals for a future update perhaps.

Useful for keeping track of anything you support and also introducing you to things you wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Easily scroll through campaigns. Would prefer that campaign tab is default and then you go to pledges and rewards though

Easy to use app. A lot easier to keep track of all your activity then using the website on the phone
