Memory Trainer for PC and MAC

Great! I've had this for many months now, but just decided to review. Fun and challenging. F*ck n-back, though! Makes me feel totally inadequate! I like it

How to use Memory Trainer for PC and MAC

You can run all Android games and applications on your PC or MAC computer. Using a free software called Bluestacks, you don't need to purchase anything but games or applications it self if it isn't free.

  • Download Bluestacks from this link.
  • Install BlueStacks from installation file with following the on-screen instructions.
  • Once Bluestacks is installed add your Google account in it.
  • Type Memory Trainer in Search bar and install it.
Now you can use Memory Trainer on your PC or MAC.

Good workouts I think these are good workouts. I only have complaints about one of them: Numberz. My complaint is that hitting the "replay animation" button changes the difficulty of the game; it makes it a LOT easier, because, upon repeat, you already know which person you are going to be asked about. This really annoys me, because it interrupts my training, forcing me back to a significantly less challenging level. I would find Numberz more valuable if, after replaying the animation, it gave a *random* prompt. :)

Great fun enhancing my memory Great game instruction! Easily completed in short time with daily scheduled activity. Informative on many levels of brain awareness to aid in my understanding in why I benefit from these exercises.

Great idea, but... It's a great idea, but the individual that wrote the summary needs to be fired. The grammar, in the summary for this so called "memory game" is horrible and a major deterrent. I found at least five gramatical and spelling errors within the first two paragraphs. I'm not to sure about this "memory game" any longer.

A great help Last year I started noticing my mind wasn't remembering like it once did. It was scary. First, I took nutrition which helped within three days. Then I began using this game with others. Immediately, I began to notice a difference. What I noticed is after about 6 months of use is my command of life has improved. On another program that competes world wide, I am 26th of the top 200. My life has greatly improved. For me, this covers a broader spectrum to help my brain than the others. Droid Bionic, and Xyboard

I downloaded this the otger day, and started to play with it during the night and was horrified by the sound, since I didn't want to wake up the household, I shut it off. There should be a way to mute the sound or at the very least, turn it down, and for that reason I don't give it a high rating

Impressed This app has really brought my memory full circle. No one likes forgetting things, and I am always forgetting simple names, movie actors and phone numbers. after trying this app I remember numbers i've only heard about twice. N-back is kind of confusing and I've certainly not mastered it, but overall a really remarkable app!

A missing peice This is very much a missing piece in the puzzle of my functionality. Its the only one I have tried though so cannot give an opinion based on other applications of the same kind.

Good I like the idea of this, but the directions are terrible to understand. I almost feel better off figuring it out on my own and starting without them.

Doesn't work I can't even figure out some of the games. The instructions don't match the game play for them, so its unusable.

Graph needs work This app seems very well-rounded. As much as I like it and use it, I've gotta say the graph is weak. It lacks meaningful info. An actual score on the "y" axis and units of time on the "x" axis would allow users to get a better sense of their progress.

Confusing directions, but great program. The instructions were sort of difficult for me to understand (especially for N-Back) but once I figured it out, it became exactly the puzzle I needed to build my skill. Also, no annoying ads like many free apps have!

Cant download Loads to 99% and locks up my phone. Three times now. Bummer.

Great Brain Game!!! Using on my HTC Thunderbolt. Couldn't put it down. Lots of fun if you want the challenge. You don't feel like your wasting time with this brain game!!

Awesome game Very good game, the way you can choose what workout you do, is a plus. I say the only thing, that would make it even better if you could vs againts another person.

Great apparently ADS TOO INTRUSIVE Great app but Ads way too intrusive. Who can concentrate with ad signs flahing in your face constantly and game interrupted! Need adfree version!

Mind over matter Not been playing this game so long but it has improved my consciousness to think about intentionally remembering and organizing things better. Highly recommended.

Awesome app!! Brilliant brain training app!!! I can concentrate better in class and understand better.. Do one session a day.. Very helpfull..

Love the idea but needs clear instructions I love these types of exercises but some of them just start with no clue to what you are supposed to do or what it is asking. The tile one is the easiest but they never say what they want. I just got it from trial and error. N back is crazy fun/horrible tho :)

A brilliant way to enhance spatial memory skills I used to be easily to remember things when i was young. Now i'm 25 but due to my relaxed study and laziness since college, i was hardly to remember things and easily forgotten :'( I do three lessons a day and it works after a week! This memory trainer really brings my memory back like it used to be. Thank you Urbian, definitely support this apps for Plus version :)

Good overall but minor problems rendering the whole thing useless Nothing appears in the todoku section. The whole thing is made ridiculous and useless. Uninstalled. If this problem doesn't occur this app would be some great exercise though.

Re: To Mr. Harris These apps weren't all created in the US and the odds of the person writing said description not speaking fluent English are probably pretty good. The ratings are meant to let others know if the app functions properly and if it's enjoyable not whether the descriptions would make it through an editors office or not. Don't get me wrong, grammatical errors are a pet peeve of mine as well but it seems to me you're being a little harsh and judgemental towards someone you know nothing about.

Good brain exercise Neat brain trainer, simple and friendly user. But should be updated now and again. Pictures are too few, repeating themselves, makes you think your doing better when in fact your brain just got used to the same old pictures making it easier for you to remember. Otherwise effective.

Does what it says. My only grievance is that the colors for the sequence game are impossible for someone who is colorblind. I really hope they fix that. Those shades of green and orange are impossible and it hurts my scores.

A fun app to train with. Can I suggest also adding calculations? And how much improvement can we expect from doing this on average?

I MUST BE STUPID What the H... how do you expect us to figure how this works if ya can't find directions on the HOW.or difficulty getting the next page to pop up. WHO'S' REALLY STUPID ? WORK ON YOUR APP!

Good App, Makes Me Think Good app, the graphics are good and the sessions are short but fun. There is some repetitiveness, but it's all good. Repetition is how you learn. Great memory game. I could always use help with my memory!

Needs a little more work Instructions are confusing or nonexistent. The performance graph is almost meaningless. For its price (free!), though, it's a great app and works well. Better this than a mindless game like Flappy Bird or some similar game. :-)

Love it! Great for memory! Took me a little while to figure out the N-back game though. To those lost: 2-back (the first level) is when the same square is lit after another one. For example, if the middle was lit, then the left, then the middle, you'd press the arrow. Not if it went middle, left, right, middle. That'd be a 3-back. The in-game instructions could be clearer by demonstrating what was NOT a two-back, as it would have saved this blonde some frustrations. Still it's the best brain trainer on the market :)

Love it!! Love this app, everytime goes harder and harder but i think it truly helps your memory specially remembering things or numbers <3

Good app but takes work This has been a pretty good app so far. Not quite fun enough to motivate you to use it without having to force yourself but am seeing definite and measurable improvements. One complaint is that isolating number and position exercises for Nback makes it really difficult to make the transition to doing both at once in the harder modes. Also other Nback games verbally announce the letters which not only makes it easier for auditory learners but also adds another pathway to the exercise. (Auditory pathways)

My biggest complaint is you can't mute the sounds! How is it that I can turn all the sounds on my phone off altogether but this app still continues to make noise?

AMAZING!!! If I could rate this 100 or more stars, I would. This has a lot of content to it ( specially for being free ^_^ .) It challenges you but not to the point where you feel discouraged. It also explains how things work in detail; the whats & whys are answered. You're not left wondering " why am I doing this?" I have already seen an improvement in my memory. All & all this is must have for anyone who wants to up their game intellectually. On a side note; working great on HTC Thunderbolt on Verizon. :)

Great Its great but in tile flip theres too few images. They start mixing on the same session and its really confusing. Best app ever. Also on "targeted" tab i tried everyting on max....... And i thought that 3back is hard.....

Awsome memory train This is a really fun game, since playing this game I've been able to do better on my test and quizzes for school. My memory is really improving :-)

Fairly effective, moderately fun Memory has little to do with grammatical skills, nor does failure to proofread. Some insecure folks feel the need to measure everywhere they go.

Great You get better memory from challenging your brain to remember things. This is what this games does. I recommend it after playing this game for about a month I realized I memorize things to do and vocabulary words much faster. It teaches you that the best way to learn is with pictures.but these short term memory game helps improve long term memory too.

Multi user support Great app. Really helps to understand the brain. Multi user support would be great so progress can be tracked for both my wife and I.

Great!!! Very great and cool. Breaks a mental sweat feels great! *****

Keeps crashing This apps is overall great. The only problem is that the app keeps crashing! It is almost unusable

It has been recently scientifically proven that regular mental exercise cangreatly improve your memory. This app has been designed to do just that! Inparticular, Memory Trainer works out your spatial and working memory, focus, chunking and concentration skills.Included: Graphical progress.Update: Targeted training.
