That is ripoff 1.You cannot play with your friends. 2. You cannot pause a watched game. Well these are the main thing to pay for a chess software right?! Unless you would play with a computer... 12$ for a fake software...

How to use playchess.com for PC and MAC

You can run all Android games and applications on your PC or MAC computer. Using a free software called Bluestacks, you don't need to purchase anything but games or applications it self if it isn't free.

Download Bluestacks from this link.
Install BlueStacks from installation file with following the on-screen instructions.
Once Bluestacks is installed add your Google account in it.
Type playchess.com in Search bar and install it.

Now you can use playchess.com on your PC or MAC.

Awful Drops the connection or will not connect. You will see dumb messages such as THE SOCKET IS NOT CONNECTED Chess. Com is far superior IMO

The app is OK but you could improve it by making the board bigger in landscape mode. And please, please bring an option to change the notation background color to other than white because it's hard to play chess with a flashlight in your eyes all the time. Thanks!

Nice Very good for chess lovers. The advantage of watching the international tournaments on app is a bonus. Much comfortable than watching on browser. However, please add SUBMIT button for a move to complete. On Moto E, mistakenly I move piece to wrong house because of hand movement. Then had to resign. Thanks and Regards.

Frustrating Whenever Disconnects You can get disconnected from the server and there is no alert from the app. You think your opponent is just taking time. No way to reconnect easily either. You end up losing rating points in won positions too many times. Also, server slows down at times. I'm on a 10Mbps Connection. Used to be an occasional occurrence but now it's several games per session. Very frustrating.

Crashes frequently on Samsung Galaxy 5 Decent interface, but very unstable. I have tried all the recommended fixes to no avail. (Upgrade O/S, delete reinstall app, reatart phone, clear browswer cache, delete SD card databases) nothing seems to help. Very frustrating when it crashes at a critical point on a game. When it actually works right- it is great.

No customer service No way to report players with cheater programs. And there are alot. They operate unchecked. The most popular is when they stop playing the game and let the clock run out, then the score pops up with you as the loser? Connection remains good, chat, stats, and all other functions are online. Cheat program is the only possibility. There is no customer service or recourse.

Cheaters solution, EVERYONE PLEASE REPOST! Since you refuse to give us an option to report players, even though hundreds have asked, at least give us an option to block them. For $12 a year, we are not asking for a lot. Also, showing a players rating in portrait mode is a must. PLEASE FIX

Outstanding Features I'm giving PlayChess five stars because of the awesome features of the app. Powerful engine analysis. Watch mode is always streaming live games from all top class tournaments. The 'share' button lets you send any game directly to your other chess apps for further review. Able to save to and create multiple custom file categories. Saved game files are shared with the Chessbase app! Fantastic!

Unfair Its a safe heaven for cheaters out there who just stop playing and win on time. 5 out of 10 games are lost in the same fashion so watvh out!

Must improve Unable to select player's just bcoz we hv leg delay internet with few player, we may mostly loose games time bounded.

Hangs up all the time! It either hangs up or it brings me back to the homepage

On lollipop it crashes during play Crashes also during engine analysis...(Note 3 official lollipop version with reset factory defaults)
