Shogi for PC and MAC

Poor for a tablet. Strong computer opponent. It's free, so I shouldn't complain, but I will anyway. The graphics are awful on the Samsung Note 10.1 tablet. I couldn't pick up pieces in the bottom left corner of the screen. Also, sound would be nice. One good point -- the computer opponent is fairly strong.

How to use Shogi for PC and MAC

You can run all Android games and applications on your PC or MAC computer. Using a free software called Bluestacks, you don't need to purchase anything but games or applications it self if it isn't free.

Download Bluestacks from this link.
Install BlueStacks from installation file with following the on-screen instructions.
Once Bluestacks is installed add your Google account in it.
Type Shogi in Search bar and install it.

Now you can use Shogi on your PC or MAC.

Long download: extracted ok. Not to be attempted on 3g My main problem is many shogi apps have Japanese commentary. Leaves me with problem of learning Shogi rules etc. Big problem for me.

Haizt I've been trying to download the data over wifi for soo0o0o long and til now didn't download it at all, would be nice if there's an alternate downloading source or at the very least continuation of download.. eventhough i have a fast connection.. really wanted to try ds app though

A terrible disappointment. Can't run without the 40mb download, and that won't work with 3G and full bars. Don't waste your time.

COMPLAIN I've tried many times to load the files. But every time it shows error messege 'is your internet connected?try again after connecting.'What a problem.Pls fix it ,then I'll be able to rate the app properly.If you 'll fix it I think it will prove a good app.I think you 'll take it seriously.

Don't download!!! After spending 40MB of my data bundles this thing won't even show me the whole board...waste of bundles...it's an insult to the general's game. You should've just developed this app to keep images of what shogi looks like, since that's what it's good for. XO

Great prog. it crashes after acouple of moves, on my G1. I will instal on the G2 next month.

Sometimes it is impossible to reuse your hand stones. An undo function would be nice, because sometimes I hit the wrong stone by accident.

Wish it had online play and sound. Kinda buggy but over all excited I have shogi to go and I can't drop pieces back on the board. Droid X

Download worked, but I can't see the pieces that black is dropping on LG Optimus T. If it isn't fixed, I will uninstall. Nice viewing options

Piece o crap. When you start it wants to dl a 40mb file and keeps throwing internet connection down after it starts dling

Doesnt work. Says it needs to download a 40 mgb file to run, but the download fails. This is the second time ive tried this program. =(

Cant get the program to download the file it needs to run... keeps saying no connection with full wireless signal or with full bars in 3g

Works great. Sometimes a little unresponsive but i can promise you no better shogi experience on a driod

Looks promising but doesn't work, tried downloading file, didn't work, tried reinstalling and trying again and it needs force close.

Also getting the error asking if my internet is working, it is. More stars when fixed. -EVO 4G

Love it, but... I played this game on my old ZTE Blade 3 and itwas awesome. I got LG Bello now and the screen isnt proportional. I only see top left corner of the game. Please fix it so icould play it again. Thanks!

Not bad but handicap play should start with gote (white); stalemate freezes the game; occasionally drops do not work

Developer, You suck! Tried 8 times to finally download the files then I can't see the hole board. Waste of time.

Impossible to play You can only see half of the board and cant switch between the two so you can't actually play a full game

Great game except drops only work sporatically. Fix that and four stars. Add bluetooth or network play and five stars maybe even pay for it!

Refuses to download 40mb data file over 3G. Download over WiFi works. Doesn't use over 2mb internal storage.

Extra files WON'T download while connected to wifi. This is unnecessary and should be included with initial download. Fix this please.

Needs undo. Poor placement accuracy. Needs tilt. Piece drop not frequently working. Doesn't persist position. Easy play's at normal strength.

Why do you need to download files. Once the apps open you can see the peices and field. Takes too long to download files and says prob w/ connection
