Wow Worth the money which isn't even a lot easy to earn miles to unlock characters and maps great controls though I prefer onscreen rather than gyro runs really really smooth and doesn't make my phone hot like some of these other games . Candy crush I'm looking at you smh why does that simple game tax my processor at all ? Bad coding I guess
How to use Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing for PC and MAC
You can run all Android games and applications on your PC or MAC computer. Using a free software called Bluestacks, you don't need to purchase anything but games or applications it self if it isn't free.
- Download Bluestacks from this link.
- Install BlueStacks from installation file with following the on-screen instructions.
- Once Bluestacks is installed add your Google account in it.
- Type Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing in Search bar and install it.
Good port Similar tracks from the Xbox version of the game, only some tracks have been cropped significantly (probably due to memory limitations on weaker phones). Touch controls ARE in there, they just weren't obvious to change (on the controls screen, press the B button on the top left). -1 Star for no cloud save support between Android devices, which in my eyes is a fairly crucial feature. Will edit review should these issues be fixed. Great game otherwise and long overdue.
Good game I think it's a good racing game but when it comes to controls I have to use the sliding controller which makes the game a lot easier.I tryed using tilt control and just found it impossible to control.so just stick to sliding controller:-)
Not as responsive as a console game If you are used to console based play, where you press buttons to steer left and right, you'll be dissappointed. Playing on a good tablet makes no difference. The game has good presentation, but lacks the finesse and predictability of a DS, Wii or other physically interactive system. It is for this reason alone that I rate it as poor.
No Moga support Unlike Sega's other titles, the Moga controller isn't supported in this game so gets 2 out of 5. You'll get a 5 star review once you add Moga controller support.
Good, not great. I've completed the xbox version so I know this game quite well, it's just a shame there's certain things about this version that could have improved it greatly. Controller support, first and foremost, would have improved it vastly since as many other reviews have said, you can't really get any precision with the on screen controls. Another gripe is that it occasionally crashes. That's obviously a big flaw since you could be at the end of a grand prix and there goes all your points and progress.
Great game My only complaint is that when any of the drivers use the super power my game lags big time. Is there any way to turn it off. I'm using a Samsung s3. I checked in options and theres no an option for it
Finally on Android! Okay Sega. I sold my iPod touch two years ago and it had Sonic Racing which was my favorite game, and I was only half way through. Why'd it take so long to show Google some love? Regardless, the touch screen controls are intuitive, level designs mirror the console versions, and the graphics are passable (of this were three years ago, I'd say amazing). Seems to be optimized for HD screens too. If you enjoy the console version, do yourself a favor and dish out the $3 out whatever it costs.Lots of replay value
Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing Review This is a very fun app to have but it sometimes doesn't work, sometimes I see a white screen that resets my phone and it works when it wants to, and by the way the game lags most of the time. Overall its a perfect rendition of the game we all know and love, even if its just a DS port. :)
Great! No lag, or other issues people are complaining about on my Note ll. Crisp, vibrant graphics and smooth game play make this cart racer the one to have!
"If only it was the PC Port..." I've been waiting too long for this release (3 yrs) and although its the Apple / DS build, it sucks; really outdated. If only they would have ported the PC or even the Wii version this would have CAKED it. I'm sure high-end devices with as NVIDIA Tegra 3/4 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chips can handle it. SEGA please fix!! Port the PC version!!!
Great but Love the game plays smooth and looks amazing . But everytime someone uses a special it lags out so bad its unplayable till tye spicial music stops then its fine . Im playing on a Samsung galaxy ace 3 . Is there anything I can do to make it play well ?
Keeps crashing I bought this game last year and it worked great. I played it last night with no problems. Now that my phone has updated to the Lollipop software, it won't play at all. I would like to play this game. It's one of my favorites. It breaks my heart that I can't even play a game that I paid for due to the new software update.
"I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog!" It was definitely a surprise to see this game 'quietly' appear on Google Play. I must say it plays pretty well. There doesn't appear to be too much slowdown. The music and dialogue seems intact, and visually it looks pretty good. The controls take a little getting used to. A decent port.
Kinda sucks. Terrible sounds, flat level design and a wimpy multiplayer. I kind of expected more out of this game. What a let down.
. Handling is horrid.. If you turn to quickly it doesn't register.. And feels like you are steering a cow! .. PC version is great.. But this is utter rubbish.
Fun Cart Game Sonic All-Stars is a very fun cart game replete with the love/hate tropes of the genre (expect plenty of missiles up your bum when you're in first place). The tracks are great, the carts are cool and there is plenty of charm to boot. My only minor gripe is that you can't save mid-Championship and they take about 15-20 minutes to complete, making this somewhat unsuitable for the pick-up-and-play style used in most mobile games.
I Want To Love This But I Can't I d/ld the Android version of S&SASR to play on Nvidia Shield when away from my PC (I usually stream PC version of same game). I want to love this port, and could easily ignore the design compromises made for mobile platforms (still pretty and retains charm of the larger game). I can't overlook the awful controls. I've tried mapping the controller myself, d/ling community mappings, and using built-in touch/tilt controls -- none provide any sort of precision. Sega's Monkeyball games have same problem.
Very good effort but needs improvements Plays great on the Nexus 7. Seems like it was designed for touch only. The graphics could be a tinge better but they are still pretty good. However, the lack of x play controls is glaring. Ryo Hazukis voice is messed up too. The earn free miles system is annoying. That said, I hope they make a lot of money with this app so they can fix the issues and continue development.
Good mario kart knockoff game First of all this game benefits from the well known characters from various Sega franchises. Technically, it has a few issues. The facebook sign-in didn't work. It did crash at times. And the frame rate was so-so on some tracks. This is on a 2013 Nexus 7, which should have run the game silky smooth. All in all I deducted one star for these minor issues. It has a nice unlocking system and achievements that are fun to unlock. And lots of different characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Challenge mode is a good idea since it forces you to try out all of the different racers. I did not like time attack mode. The fun of this kind of game is battling with other racers using missiles, cones, etc. Also, I could not find anyone on multiplayer. Recommended game, especially if you are a Sega fan like me.
Classic title, unimproved. Glitch frame rate and subsequent control response. It holds up well, despite lacking the shaders and graphical features of a contemporary title. Unfortunately, the touch controls are unreliable (it repeatedly gets confused with multiple touch contact points) and frame rates can be inexplicably unpredictable even though the game barely taxes the hardware. Worst of all, dark tracks and no graphics options means playing in the dark is best. It states that the developer has not correctly configured the app for Facebook login (though it appears to work).
Decent A great deal with the price. It'd be nice if you could customize the slide bar's size and position to make it a little more comfortable to control. 6 playable characters seem to be missing (I wanted to use Big and Amy), not counting the exclusives. Freezes occasionally on Galaxy Note II. Definitely looking forward to when Transformed shows up.
Controls lets this game down -1 star for the awkward controls (as mentioned in most of the other reviews). -1 for other really annoying things! Like no indication for which cups you have passed and some rubbish levels (jumps which you cannot fail <boring> or corners you get stuck on). Such a shame to this otherwise visually stunning game.
Awesome Worth every penny.Works perfectly on s3 i would be so cool if you could release all stars racing TRANSFORMED too cause i'd be the first to buy it!!
Bad Graphics, Bad Controls Runs smoothly, but the controls are terrible. Why is there no tap to steer? Tilt is inconsistent, and the slider is ludicrous. The graphics are worse than games from years ago. Look to Asphalt 8. There are no particle effects here, and the wheels don't even appear to be moving, which makes drifting completely stupid. It's more like randomly sliding than drifting. I love Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed on my Wii U. This game takes that concept and strips 5 years from it.
I have waited so long for this day I loved this game on the iPad but on Android it's too slow or lagging... Slow response doing turns and everything...plz fix it and I will gladly make it 5 stars
Good game, good graphics and it runs very smooth. It's not a great game but its a decent kart racer so its worth the price. But why on earth is there a menu button that does nothing? Get rid of it, it's taking up screen space on my HTC One.
Online needs fixing Cant play against a friend and neither of our scores show up on the Play app. Its a good game but i wouldnt mind being able to get quicker racers or upgrader the racers so theyre faster as you cant really tell much different between sonic which comes default and shadow which is the joint most expensive racer.
Love the game but the sign in issue needs to be addressed. I love how well this game runs on my kyocera rise but it has one flaw.. it won't let me sign in with google plus so the main reason I would play this after the grand prix is completely gone.. fix this please!!!!!!
Meh So underwhelemed. I thought this would be like Mario-Kart for android. But unfortunately the game of full of flaws, for one: it doesn't work on my Acer Iconia a500 just shows a blue screen and force closes. And although it runs on my gs4 the controls are just annoying to use and makes a game that has the potential to be great only sub-par. Fix the controls and the crashing issue and this game would be a five/five but until then! Uninstalled
Need more levels But other than da levels dis game is gud but u need more levels i passed all of it and sometimes it gets boring playing da same levels
Low frame rate This game is really irritating for a lot of reasons, its on auto pilot and you can't change that so effectively all you can do to control your character is turn left and right and there are consistant frame rate drops, I uninstalled after download I want a refund.
Good But... Needs hardware controller support (HID) if possible. Also as others are stating, I too have issues signing in with Google Game Service. The application tells me its not configured properly. Please fix this as I refuse to use Facebook :( thankyou. -1* per issue
Nice for what it is This release would have been REALLY awesome if it wasn't for the auto accelerate feature. Never the less it handles really well and does not lag on the NVIDIA SHIELD. Stages are much shorter and have less or no dynamic stuff going on in the background compared to the PC and console versions but still have good detail. Worthwhile game even to this date.
High Quality for a Low price! My phone is cherry mobile flare.i pay for this game! I never doubt! Because running smoothly but one time when i open this app crash but after that it will become ok again..my problem is the SENSITIVITY of this app because it's not balanced sometimes when I'm turning left i fall to the underground .jope you will fix that..but all in all..it's Very Nice App. Sulit ang bayad ko hehe.
Very upset after paying to download app did not work. Also would not give option to refund my money. Terrible app and terrible way of conducting business. Thiefs
Why Game doesn't work correctly on galaxy s3.wish they would tell you that.butt. h oles
Good Game.......Bad Controls So fun but not enjoyable to the fullest extent because of controls, add support to Bluetooth controllers and I will rate 5 stars
FOREVER SEGA!! Growing up as a kid and having a MasterSystem while everyone else had an NES made me realize how awesome SEGA was and still is. Anyone who complains about this app is just a whiner. This plays great on my sgh-i897 as well as my S4. Mizsed dearly for the console market but Sega is still kickin'! DREAMCAST 2 NOW!!!
Sonic all-star finally on android I love this game it'S fun, beautiful and affordable. There are 2 controll methods tilt or slide I prefer the slide. If you love sonic and kart racers it's a must have. But there are some problems with the game 1 I can't sign into g+ second the music in levels at least in samba de Amigo level doesnt turn on untill I press the pause and even then it turns off later. And is there any chance for a controller support?
